Project Brief
Yamoransa Model Lab 9 in Bomaa, Ghana, features two EDULab rooms with a total of 48 seater units, a Makerspace with advanced tech, a Conference Room, and a Centre Manager’s Office.
The IMPLEMENTERS and TECHAiDE teams conducted a needs assessment for the 9th Yamoransa Model (YM) Lab in Bomaa, Ahafo Region, Ghana. Funded by Friends of Yamoransa and Helping Africa Foundations (HAF FYF), the YM Labs Program aims to enhance education through technology across all regions of Ghana. The project is set to benefit over 4,000 learners annually.
The existing Science ICT Lab block at Bomaa Senior High School (SHS) was selected for the project. This facility, with four rooms, is sufficient for two EDULabs, a Makerspace, a Conference Room, and a Centre Manager’s Office.
